Why I Started the Sustainable Agent Blog (And Who It Is For)

The conversation I kept having in my head

For a couple of years I was selling 3 to 5 million a year and quietly knowing something was off.

Not off in a dramatic way. I was closing deals. My clients trusted me. My business was growing. But the model I was operating inside had a ceiling I could feel even when I could not quite articulate it. The split was too high. The path forward looked exactly like the path I was already on. And the version of success being held up around me required a kind of sacrifice I was not willing to make.

I have two daughters. My family is the reason I work the way I work. I was not going to grind my way to a number if it meant being absent from the life I was building the number for.

What changed, and why I wanted to write about it

In 2024 I moved to eXp Realty, joined a community of women called Powerhouse, and sold $12 million. I paid eXp $16,000 total for the year.

The math changed. The culture changed. My sense of what was possible changed.

And I started thinking about all the agents who were where I had been. Producing at a solid level, knowing they had more in them, but not being shown a different way to build. The dominant message in real estate is hustle more. I wanted to offer a different message.

That is what this blog is.

Who I am writing for

I am writing for women solo agents selling 3 to 5 million a year who want more for their life.

Not more in the sense of grinding harder. More in the sense of keeping more of what they earn. More in the sense of being in a community that tells them the truth. More in the sense of building something that does not require them to disappear into it.

If you are reading this and something is resonating, that recognition is worth paying attention to. There is a different way to do this. I am proof of that, and I am happy to talk through what it looks like, including whether eXp and Powerhouse might be part of your path forward.
